Amazon Former CFO Dies in Bicycle Crash

Joy Covey rode her bicycle down a hill when a van turned in front of her. She struck the van and was killed. The 22 year-old van driver was cooperating with police. Ms. Covey joined Amazon in 1996. She became CFO back when the number of employees was under 200. She was with the company through the initial public offering.
