As you settle into summer fun, we want to share some tips to make sure you and your loved ones have a safe and healthy summer. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has released an extensive list of summer safety tips for 2016, one being bug safety and children.

Bug safety – Do not use scented soaps, perfumes or hair sprays on your child. Avoid areas where insects nest or congregate, such as stagnant pools of water. While it should be used sparingly and only in 10 to 30% concentrations, using an insect repellent containing DEET can prevent insect-related diseases.
